Chris Evans is ready to captain a team of his own.
One year after exchanging vows with wife Alba Baptista, the Avengers star admitted he’s optimistic about the prospect of becoming a father one day.
“Yeah, I hope so,” Chris told Access Hollywood at the New York City premiere of Red One Nov. 11. “Yeah, absolutely. The title of dad is an exciting one.”
The Knives Out star has spoken about his desire to have kids before, noting the ways that fatherhood has shaped other successful people.
“That's absolutely something I want," Chris, 43, told People in 2022. “Wife, kids, building a family. When you read about most of the best artists, whether it's actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn't the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships, the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.”
“Those things are the most important,” he continued. “I love the idea of tradition and ceremony, I had a lot of that in my life so the idea of creating that, I can't think of anything better.”
In the meantime, Chris and Alba—who wed in September 2023 after two years of dating—are making the most of married life. In fact, the Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris star, 27, accompanied her hubby to the Red One premiere, keeping a low profile while Chris worked the red carpet.
While the couple generally keep their relationship private, the Ghosted star previously shared one of the major signs that he had found true love.
“Loving dogs is a big part of it,” Chris—who’s a dog dad to his beloved rescue Dodger—told Access in July. “She’s as big of an animal lover as I am. I knew she was the one pretty early on, even before she met Dodger.”

The two tied the knot in an intimate Massachusetts ceremony.

In February 2023, the Avengers actor posted a series of pictures and videos of himself and Alba in honor of Valentine's Day. The two were seen hiking, kissing, traveling, carving pumpkins, and playing with Dodger.
Chris made his relationship with Alba Instagram official by posting a video montage of the two in 2023.
The Marvel actor and the Warrior Nun star began dating in mid-2021, according to multiple reports. But rumors of their romance didn't surface until the following November, when they were spotted walking together in New York City.
